Who what am I? My answer: I am the sum total of everything that went before me, of all I have been seen done, of everything done-to-me. I am everyone everything whose being-in-the-world affected was affected by mine. I am anything that happens after I’ve gone which would not have happened if I had not come. Nor am I particularly exceptional in this matter; each “I,” every one of the now-six-hundred-million-plus of us, contains a similar multitude. I repeat for the last time: to understand me, you‘ll have to swallow a world.
— Salman Rushdie (Midnight’s Children)
What? You want more?
I am a mom, wife, lawyer, writer, part-time graduate student, avid reader, grammarian, amateur foodie, shopaholic, sports junkie, music listener, movie and television watcher, consumer of information, news commentator, and armchair philosopher.
What this really means is that I am either an aspiring dilettante or cult leader.
I have been known to occasionally be witty, silly, and/or snarky. But you should keep your expectations low.
You still want more? My personal blog is here. My twitter is here. Pieces of my occasional “serious” writing are here. Some of my friends and I post random stuff here. And, finally, my husband and I are keeping an online journal of our pregnancy & subsequent child-rearing here.
